CMMS students attended a field trip at the Crete Public Library in which they learned about the Orphan Train. Through presentations and interactive stations, students learned how roughly 200,000 poverty-stricken children were relocated into new homes between the years 1854 through 1929, with most being transferred from New York into the midwest.
